Top Tier Per Carrier Here’s a lengthy review! Price point is unbeatable for the sturdiness, size, and material. It’s very, very spacious. I really like the ventilation holes on the sides to prevent from any paws coming through – that being said some cats may fit their paws through the door squares. It is extremely sturdy, I really like that it comes with bolts for extra security in addition to the four latches. It’s a bit tight to screw the bolts into the nuts but once you’ve got it, be sure to extra tighten with a screwdriver. It has two doors for ease of use, especially useful for animals who refuse to go in through the front door or for animals who may not be keen to coming out the front at vet visits. The top door allows easy access. The bottom seems like it may be slippery so I am considering a small mat or pet bed to make it comfier for my cat. I have purchased this and assembled it in advance for an upcoming vet appointment. Hoping to leave it out and open so as my cat can adjust to seeing and being around it to avoid as much trouble as possible when appointment day comes. Assembly is fast and easy, instruction manual is helpful if you get stuck. I was stumped on how to open the top. I have attached a small clip to show. You rotate one of the top bar latches, pull it out and up while it’s pulled out. Either side works, so the top can be opened left or right bar. There are also attachments for carrier belts/straps which is not a necessity for me, but I’m sure is useful for many others. My cat has broken out of two pet carriers (both fabric based), and has refused endlessly to going into a smaller plastic one with only a front opening. I am extremely pleased and confident this cat carrier meets all of the needs for her & that I will not be looking for a replacement any time soon.
